Regional Team Lead

Specifications

Location: Yorkshire

Working Hours: 24 hours per week, part time, hybrid working

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: £19,968 (pro-rata, £16 per hour)

MoreTime is a social enterprise and a wholly owned subsidiary of Waythrough, one of England’s largest drug, alcohol, mental health and social support charities. We deliver cleaning, facilities management, and property services nationally, and we do it with a difference: we deliberately employ people who face barriers to work, including gaps in employment history, lived experience of addiction or mental health challenges, and long-term unemployment.

When you join MoreTime, you are not just leading a cleaning team. You are part of something that genuinely changes lives.

We are looking for a Regional Team Leader to support and supervise our cleaning staff across your area, making sure they have everything they need to deliver outstanding services to our customers.

Much of the day-to-day work in this role can be managed remotely, but it is not a desk job. You will be expected to carry out regular site inspections at customer premises across your region, and there will be times when being physically present makes all the difference. You will need to be comfortable moving between remote working and travel, and to use your judgement about when each is needed. You will also be the person who spots potential in people and helps them grow, whether that is a cleaner ready to take on more responsibility or a new starter who just needs a bit of extra support to find their feet.

You will report to the Service Manager and work closely with the wider MoreTime team.

  • Supporting, supervising and developing your cleaning team day to day
  • Running regular one-to-ones and making sure any concerns are picked up early
  • Recruiting new staff and making sure they are properly inducted and trained
  • Carrying out site inspections and making sure standards are maintained
  • Working with HR and the Service Manager on any formal people matters
  • Responding practically and promptly when operational needs arise, including arranging cover for cleaning duties at short notice where required

You do not need to have worked in facilities management before, but you will need to be someone who genuinely cares about the people you manage and takes pride in delivering a good service.

We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
  • Strong communication skills and a calm, fair approach to managing people
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and find practical solutions when things do not go to plan
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. While much of this role can be managed remotely, regular travel to customer sites within your region is a core part of the job
  • A commitment to equality, inclusion, and supporting people facing barriers to work

Experience of cleaning environments and knowledge of COSHH are desirable but not essential. Training will be provided.

  • Be part of a team where the work genuinely matters
  • A role with real variety and real responsibility
  • Supported by a values-driven organisation with a strong people focus
