Transformation Story
Paul's Recovery

At More Time, we help service users from our partner organisations through Waythrough to build confidence and develop essential life skills that aid their transition back into the workplace. With our guidance and support, those who have been through a difficult recovery period can once again become functioning members of society by returning to work as part of a More Time facility management team.

Paul was a service user at a recovery service provider in Yorkshire for two years. After completing his recovery, Paul sought a route to get back into work that would increase his financial independence and help him contribute proactively to his community. After speaking to one of the senior managers at the service provider, Paul was supported with his job search, and directed towards More Time to see if there was a role available on one of our cleaning and maintenance teams within the area.

At first, Paul took on occasional shifts to cover sickness and annual leave. These first steps towards full employment were transformative for Paul, who was quickly able to get to grips with his new responsibilities as part of a More Time team. His overall attitude, willingness to learn, and excellent work ethic left a great impression; after receiving excellent feedback from both the service provider and More Time staff, it was suggested that Paul come in to work at the services on a permanent basis.

Paul is now employed at the service provider as a cleaning operator on a permanent basis, where he is very happy and content with his role. Paul also still helps out with sickness and annual leave cover at other sites, serving as an incredible asset to the company’s cleaning operations.

If you or someone you’re working with are ready for a route back into work, More Time can help. Contact us for information regarding work opportunities with one of our facility management teams based across England, and we’ll get the ball rolling on your future.
